Surprise, I'm pregnant!

No one is more surprised than I am that I am pregnant. Even as I write these words I am still in shock. I have known for about a week and a half and it still hasn't sunk in. I knew that I would want kids one day but I didn't think that day was going to be any time soon. To be perfectly honest, my life is pretty good right now and I wasn't planning to disrupt it. But of course things rarely go as we expect them to and I now find myself embracing this surprising little turn of events. It turns out, there are a lot of positives to being pregnant and expecting a child. OH MY GOD, I am expecting a child. I can't believe it.

We are not planning to tell anyone this news for a few more weeks so I'm happy to have this space to store all of the thoughts I want to be sharing with my nearest and dearest now.
