Would you like fries with that?

I don't know too much about pregnancy yet but I believe it's universally known that women have cravings, sometimes odd ones.

I'm not ready for pickles and ice cream yet but I am feeling a strong pull towards almost every fast food establishment I come across. Why does my future child insist on being fed such trash? I can't remember the last time I considered eating in McDonald's but I have downed 3 happy meals and a Carl's Junior chicken sandwich in the last two weeks and haven't looked back. I've also found satisfaction in the burger special at the Village coffee shop down the street from my house. Mmm, I am getting hungry just writing this.

Since my belly has not yet grown and I haven't vomited yet, this is the first noticeable disruption to my life as normal: Jamie the foodie is now Jamie the fast foodie. Fittingly, Jonathan has decided to call the child "the McNugget" for now. Here's hoping the future babe refines its palate as I refine my wardrobe in the coming months.
