If you all will join me in a chant: "MC. NUG. GET! MC. MUG. GET! MC. NUG. GET!"
We're cheering you guys on, even if you can't hear us!
Of course, I can't really lead this cheer at work. We are practically across the street...if people knew they'd be running over to bug you. So I silently sit here and cheer in my head.
This is like Christmas morning when you have to wait for your sister to wake up before opening presents. McNuggie, we're ready for you! Hang in there, Jamie!!
This is SO 21st Century. So new media. Man, I can't wait till I tell the McNugget on her 20th Birthday how I was "there" when she was born. This is awesome!
My mom is following the progress from Belize. I am still at work (but of course not working) out of fear that I will miss the happy news during my commute. Thank goodness for PDAs. Goooooooo Jamie!! I hope that Jonathan reads these aloud to you & Ms. McNug after your first naps. :)
yay!!! i LOVE that we know the play by play, but i HATE at how long this is taking..i promise, though, she'll be worth it. thinking of you. love, becky, adam & talia
I'm off to bed now. I've been waiting up, holding on for another update. Alas. I'm guessing all quiet on the blog front means things are getting busy on the maternity front.
I hope no update means that McNugget is already having a power breakfast, networking with the hospital staff and negotiating her E! True Hollywood Story of her life. I mean, look at the rumors she is already generating on the web. I'm seeing blockbuster summer release '09!
and mom is doing fine. not much more to add beyond that at this point. Jamie's going to be so excited by all the comments this blog post has now received.
Thank God for Jonathan's email.... I keep refreshing this anyway, waiting for more news. Although, I'm beginning to think they've got a blog somewhere else called "Not as much a surprise... we're parents!"

We're so excited. We couldn't even finish our dinner before needing to run to the computer to check the blog for updates.
We are wishing you the best. Keep on truckin', Jamie!
Love,
Michael and Alisha
I'm at work (and being totally useless cause I can't stop thinking of you) and you're freaking making life. Wow.
Labor on, girl! We are so proud of you and your welcoming of the contractions!!!
With LOVE.

I keep hitting refresh waiting for more info! In the famous words of Bill Cosby, "push her out, push her out, waaaaay out!"
FANTASTIC call there, Erica.
For all those who want to relive Cosby while we wait, here's the link to Puuuuuuush Puuussshhhhhh!!
has anyone else had the most unproductive day EVER??

i love that j&j's blog has inspired slackerdom by all of us. Do you think this is the first live-blogged birth by the mom herself?
I just got interviewed by the freakin NYT's for an hour and all I could think about was you. For realz.
i ran home from work to check on your status!!!!! i am impressed you are live blogging

Aack!...The suspense is killing!
a few things:
first, i haven't hit reload this frequently since the early primaries.
second, what a great Barnard reunion (and of course with everyone else too)?! This is the best Jamie L. Rubin makes the news EVER!
third, i noticed that you updated your facebook status a couple hours ago... hopefully this means you're doing ok.
fourth, fox-o-maniac-tots. just to distract you and make you giggle.
love, and trying to breath with you from the trial in nj.
it's probably a good sign that things are moving along that there haven't been posts for several hours!

Has anybody heard anything?
